Dolphin House is your home away from home. It is also our home away from home for several months of the year. Everything in the home, with the exception of very few  items of clothing which we keep here for our own stays are for your use and enjoyment.

We suggest that upon arrival after you’ve placed your suitcase where you will be using it, you make a thorough tour of the house. Open ever cupboard, open every drawer. Look in the cupboards over the refrigerator; look on the bookshelves. Check out every nook and cranny to see what is in the house, so that when you need it you know where to find it. And use it.

We’ll even leave a few food essentials in the cabinet, so that if you only need a “Tbsp of vanilla” you don’t have to buy it. Use ours. You are our guests. Make yourselves completely at home.

Below is a list of amenities that you’ll find in the house. This is not all-inclusive; and at the same time, something might have been misplaced. For that we apologize. You’re staying in a home, not a hotel. Please “make do.”

Of course you will provide your own meals and we’ve provided what we feel are the essentials for making scruptious meals. There’s even a small cookbook library on the shelving against the kitchen cupboards

NOTE: Venture Out and the Florida Keys in general is situated in a tropical environment surrounded on most sides by water. This natural environment is an amazing resource for every naturalist. There are birds, land animals and reptiles, frogs, water fowl and fishes and other creatures including insects (including ants and spiders) and bats and thousands of biological species. It’s not unusual for creatures to make their way into the home. Most of them are harmless. We suggest you try to think of them as your friends and just shoo them out of the house, using a broom or other tool as needed. Be sure to keep doors and windows closed to prevent their entrance. For particularly annoying instances you may call A1A Pest Control whose card is located on the refrigerator.
